I read a much more detailed article, on a Hispanic site, where they explained that the child had been removed from his mother due to starvation, she was completely neglecting him. He had just arrived at the hospital and the police officer asked to hold him in order to comfort him. As he’s a starving baby, he started rooting for the breast and she obliged the baby and fed him. She also asked the staff for permission before doing so and they were more than happy for her to feed the baby. The hospital staff was very thankful that she cared enough to not only comfort the baby, but to also provide him with much needed food. This baby was starving, literally starving, and was in desperate need of not only food, but also comfort.
